MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES
1. Membership of SEAA-K shall be open to any credible individuals over 18 years and organized entities that demonstrate a passion for the society’s ideals and commitment to its objectives.
2. Application for membership could be through own initiative or proposal by existing members, the secretariat or the Steering Committee.
3. The applicant will be required to identify with at least one Thematic Working Group as indicated in application.
4. The applicant will identify themselves with their sector or sector association where applicable.
4. There shall be a membership registration fee payable when applying to be a member of the society.
5. There shall be an annual subscription fee payable by the end of the first month after the end of the financial year of the society.
7. The following will be the membership categories and applicable charges;
- Students – Registration fee of Ksh. 500 and an annual subscription fee of Ksh. 250.
- Individuals/Ordinary members – Registration fee of Ksh. 1,000 and an annual subscription fee of Ksh.500.
- Community-Based Organizations Registration fee of Ksh. 2000 and an annual subscription fee of Ksh. 1000.
- Local organized entities – Registration fee of Ksh. 3,000 and an annual subscription fee of Ksh. 1500.
- International organized entities – Registration fee of Ksh. 10,000 and an annual subscription fee of Ksh. 5,000.
- Corporates – Registration fee of Ksh. 10,000 and an annual subscription fee of Ksh. 5,000.
8. Payments for the registration and subscription shall be done through either the registered bank account of the society or the registered mobile money transfer platform of the society.
9. Membership applications will be received, registered and formally acknowledged and approved by the Steering Committee
10. Successful application for membership will constitute the following criteria;
11. Duly filled official membership application form of the society
12. Be seconded by a current member of the society
13. All members of the society shall be assigned a unique membership number once their membership application has been approved.
